These conditions, together with the
document entitled “Application Form
LOGOV Expo 2008”, comprise the whole
agreement between the Exhibitor and the
Foundation relating to LOGOV Expo
2008:
1. DEFINITIONS
“Foundation” means the Queensland
Foundation for Public Works Engineering
and includes its officers, servants, agents
and signees.
“Exhibitor” means the applicant for
exhibition space at the Foundation’s 2008
LOGOV Expo and includes the exhibitor’s
officers, servants, agents and signees.
“Exhibit” includes all structures, displays,
demonstrations, exhibitions, equipment,
pamphlets, brochures and all written or
other material or things (including visual
and audio material) displayed or used in
any way by the Exhibitor.
“LOGOV Expo 2008” means the event
organised and controlled by the Foundation
at “City of Logan Sporting Association”
Meakin Park, Qld between 8-9 October
2008.
2. USE OF EXHIBITION SPACE
The Exhibitor may use only the space
allocated for the purpose of erecting and
conducting the Exhibit together with any
nominated exhibitors’ car parking space.
3. HOURS OF EXHIBITION
LOGOV Expo 2008 will be open to the
public between 9am and 5pm on Wednesday
8 October and between 9am and 4pm on
Thursday 9 October 2008.
4. SETTING UP AND REMOVAL OF
DISPLAYS
Delivery to site of large items and setting
up of marquees may commence on Friday
3 October. Setting up of exhibits may
commence from 7am Monday 6 October
and must be completed by 8am on
Wednesday 8 October. It is the Exhibitor’s
responsibility to attend the exhibits during
opening hours on exhibition days. Removal
of exhibits may not commence before
4pm on Thursday 9 October, and may
be subject to restrictions depending on
weather conditions.

The exhibitor must notify the name(s)
of person(s) in charge of setting up the
exhibit. No spikes over 300mm long
are to be driven into the ground half
a metre either side of red or blue lines
painted on the ground (power and water
lines). All plant operators employed by
the exhibitor are required to have the
appropriate current licences. No holes are to be dug in the sports field surface without special permisission. The Exhibitor is
liable for any damage caused during
the setting up, conduct and removal
of the Exhibit by the Exhibitor or the
Exhibitor’s sub-contractors including
damage to under ground or above
ground services.
5. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
The Exhibitor must comply with all
relevant laws and regulations, including
public health, concerning any food stuffs
on site. Regulations and requirements
of the Queensland Fire Brigade and
Workplace Health and Safety must also be
adhered to.
Attention is also drawn to the
requirements of Licensing Laws
including that of not continuing to serve
inebriated persons.
6. SECURITY
Uniformed security guards will be provided
overnight from Friday 3 October to
Friday 10 October inclusive, between
the hours of 5pm and 8am. Security of
exhibits during public visiting hours and
during setting up and dismantling shall be
the responsibility of the Exhibitor.
7. LIABILITY
The Exhibitor agrees that the Foundation
will not be liable to the Exhibitor or to
any other person in connection with the
Exhibitor’s Exhibit including, without
limitation, loss or damage due to injury to
any person, damage to property, theft, fire,
water, storm, riots, blackouts, acts of God
or any other cause whatsoever.
The Exhibitor will be liable for any
damage to any property or injury to
any person caused by the Exhibitor’s
employees, contractors, subcontractors
or invitees during the setting up,
conduct and removal of the Exhibit. The
exhibitor must show on the Application
for Space Form the current public
liability insurance policy number.
